Scat: The 31 Card Game

Privacy Policy

Effective 7 October 2026

Scat: The 31 Card Game 1.0 plays entirely on your device. It has no ads, analytics SDKs, or separate app account.

What the app collects

The game does not send your gameplay, settings, name, or cat to us. There are no analytics, advertising, third-party SDKs, or custom crash-reporting services in the app. We operate no game server.

The app is offline

The game makes no network connections and works in airplane mode. It does not request access to contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, or notifications. System services such as device backups and optional diagnostics are separate from gameplay.

What the app stores, and where

The app saves its settings on your device: the number of players, the three-of-a-kind house rule, and whether you have seen How to play. If you give yourself a name or make a cat, those are saved on your device too, and are shown only on it.

It also saves one unfinished game — the cards, every move, the strikes, and the players at the table — so you can resume it. Starting a new game replaces that save; finishing the game removes it. This data may be included in device backups, depending on your backup settings.

Sharing a game

If you share a finished game as a PDF, it contains that game’s hands and the names at the table, including yours if you gave one. Anyone who receives it can read it. The service you send it through has its own privacy practices.

What we can see

The app store provides aggregate download and sales information. Crash diagnostics may be available if you opt into sharing them through your device settings. If you email us, we receive your email address and the message and attachments you choose to send.

Children

The game has no chat, advertising, or way to contact other players. It does not ask players for personal information; a name, if you give one, never leaves the device.

Gambling

There is none. Scat has no wagering, no simulated gambling, and no purchasable chips or currency of any kind. A lost hand costs a strike, as in the traditional card game.

Limits of these protections

No app, device, or online service can guarantee complete privacy, security, or protection against data loss. Device access, account security, backups, and the services you choose to use can affect what happens to your information. This policy describes the app’s practices; it is not a promise that unauthorized access or data loss is impossible. It does not limit any privacy or consumer rights you have under applicable law.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the revised version will appear on this page with a new effective date.
